Photography around The Entrance

Grab your camera and showcase your memories with your favourite photos. From the beauty of the beaches, the spectacular headlands, the peaceful lakes to the bushland and wildlife, The Entrance has endless photo opportunities.

Top photos are the daily pelican feeding, firework displays held on celebratory days throughout the year, multicultural festivals, heritage car shows, splash pool and  beach fun. For family memories remember to take some pics of your favourite coffee shop, sea food meal or family fun times.

If you are a keen photographer make time to visit Long Jetty wharf at sunset, Norah Head Lighthouse and Soldiers Beach at sunrise or sunset, Crackneck Lookout, the foreshore walk at The Entrance and the Red Gums of Wyrrabalong National Park.

Birdwatchers can get up close to the beautiful birdlife on Tuggerah Lake and along The Entrance foreshore. Apart from the many pelicans, keep an eye out for the black swans, waders, cormorants, egrets, plovers, terns, gulls, the occasional spoonbill and the rarer oyster catchers. Keen birders may spot the Nankeen Kestrel, fig bird, koel, blue wren, oriole, black winged stilt and bar tailed godwit.
