Long Jetty Shops

The Long Jetty shops have been revitalised recently by an influx of trendy cafes, healthy food and lifestyle shops, fashion boutiques, recycled clothing stores and vintage and antique dealers. Long Jetty is the Central Coast’s equivalent of inner city Newtown but without the traffic, parking problems and crowds.

If you love all things retro then you can spend all day browsing the colourful fashion and re-cycled treasure shops like Beautiful Garbage, Webster’s Vintage, The Sound Exchange Record Bar or Browse About.

The Glass Onion Society Café offers indoor or outdoor dining and an array of delicious healthy food and excellent coffee served in thick, chunky cups.  They offer gluten free and vegetarian options plus a variety of coffees including those made with coconut, almond or soy milk. One of my favourite joints because they make my coconut coffee to perfection!

Common Ground is another popular hangout for locals and visitors alike. It is rated in the Top 5 Cafes on the Central Coast as voted by the ‘Beanhunter’ website. The delicious food is wholesome, farm to plate and sourced locally where possible. Open daily for breakfast, brunch and lunch they also offer speciality nights like Pasta night on Thursday and Open fire Grill nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

You can’t go past the Yoga Café if you are a yoga enthusiast. A casual yoga or meditation class followed by a healthy snack in the serene outdoor courtyard will have you feeling on top on the world.

The health food shop “The Raw Deal” offers bulk  natural foods plus amazing smoothies, juices and Kombucha on tap. Run by Steve and his friendly staff, the shop is the epitome of conscious living.

Visit the “Made in Hemp” store for a fantastic range of organic hemp seed health and body care products. They also stock quality hemp and bamboo clothes – a must if you are trying to lead a chemical-free life.

In November the streets of Long Jetty come alive with the annual Street Festival – heaps of fun for the whole family and a great opportunity to get your Christmas shopping done early!
