The Tuggerah Lakes Cycleway is an off road, shared pathway which hugs 12km of scenic shoreline around Tuggerah Lakes. It runs between Picnic Point at The Entrance to Chittaway Bay. A 4km extension of the bike track has recently been completed north of The Entrance Bridge to Magenta.
The route is mainly flat with some slight inclines. It is dotted with shady picnic areas, parks, toilets and scenic seats. A small detour off the track can take you to cafes and shops at The Entrance, Long Jetty, Berkeley Vale and Chittaway Bay. We can recommend the Berkeley Vale Noodle House at 2/62 Lakedge Ave for friendly staff who serve delicious, freshly made stir fries and noodles.
Bike hire is available at the automatic bike stations near The Entrance Visitor Centre or pelican feeding area. There are a range of bikes, including kids plus helmets which are dispensed through the Visitor Centre or local shops. A credit card is needed to activate the hire which ranges in price from $14 for 1 hour, $28 for 2 hours, $47 for 24 hours or $90 for 3 days.
